TMNT 30 Day Challenge - Day 1: Your Favorite Turtle

My Choice: Leonardo

Reasons: Leo has always been my favorite since childhood. When I was in elementary school, most children seemed to like Mikey or Raph the most where I was the odd one in liking Leo the most. I guess it was because not many children liked the serious one. Sure I'll admit Leo wasn't exactly the greatest in a sense when it came to the 1980s cartoon, but when he had his moments of leadership - he was spiffy at it. Plus Cam Clarke did a great job as Leo.

I adored him in the first two movies when Brian Tochi voiced him; I thought he did a great job, personally. He didn't exactly have much showing of his leadership skills though in any of the movies with slight exceptions in movies 1 and 2...

Then when it comes to the 2003 version - that version is most likely my favorite. I say that because his character development was much larger than other TMNT television series at the time. He was a great leader, but he also showed a lot of flaws which makes a great character! It was nice to see him have a much different personality than he did in the 1980s cartoon and to have him stand out more because of that. ...and I mean come on - the voice acting for him is EPIC. So much emotion! Much love to Mike Sinterniklaas for that. ...h-he's a sweetie. -met him twice. Three times if you include where I almost bumped into him with *DNLnamek01 at Otakon.

The 2012 version, I love that version as well. It's funny when he has his nerdy moments when it comes to him watching Space Heroes. Not to mention when he was chosen to be leader - it's nice to see him actually trying to lead, but sometimes fails to do so due to backing down from his brothers. It's a major learning experience instead of having a series where he's leader and he's already doing well at it. It's great to see character development in that perspective, too. Plus when it comes to Jason Biggs performing him - he does an amazing job! I was actually shocked on how well the voice sounds for this version.

I've always liked the character because no matter which version of the series I watch or what comics I read; he's portrayed quite differently in some aspects which makes you see the character in a different light.

Well... that and I love swords.

Yeah, we all know Leo is my favorite turtle; at least most people that know of me do. Anyways, I decided to do a pic of him basing on the 2003 style, 2012 style, and my own flair into one image. I think it turned out pretty nice!

Welp, not much else to say about this. Hopefully I'll have day 2 worked on soon. ...that one is going to be a toughie...
